Czarna śmierć

Wrocław, 22 May 1963. Łucja Winter – an experienced intelligence officer – returns from a dangerous mission in India, the purpose of which was shrouded in secrecy. When it seems everything has gone well, a smallpox epidemic breaks out in the city. Wrocław becomes a closed city where a battle against a deadly and invisible enemy begins. This is a fascinating story in which a medical thriller is blended with a mysterious spy tale. On the one hand, we have a group of doctors led by the young and ambitious Weronika Przybysz, waging a heroic fight against a deadly disease, and on the other – an investigation conducted by local newspaper reporter Igor Bielik to explain a mystery that could affect the lives of millions of people. It is a story about dedication, overcoming difficulties, about doctors risking their own health and lives as they fight for the lives of their patients. It is also a story about the growing need for freedom and truth, stronger than the fear of communist oppression.
