In Darkness

"In Darkness" is a tense and emotionally charged drama series that delves into the struggle for survival of an Estonian family after a sudden societal and infrastructural collapse. When the city goes dark - literally - newly divorced Andres is faced with painful choices: whether to let his children see their mother, who has built a new life in another city, or to keep them away from a world that is unravelling by the hour. Teenage daughter Adeele longs for contact with her mother, while young son Jako seeks a sense of security. But their father, Andres, deeply depressed by the divorce, does not want to let go of his children. There is no electricity. Food and water are running out. Rumours spread that the Russians have sabotaged the main power lines. People are becoming increasingly dangerous.

Andres decides to take the children to the countryside, away from society＇s collapse – but also away from the truth. What starts as a desire to protect soon turns into an obsession. And common sense... begins to crumble.
