A young man of Moroccan origin, Amine Sahmoudi (19), decides to leave the mountain village where he lives—a place that, after seven years of plagues and drought, can no longer offer him a future. But shortly after his departure, Amine stops answering his phone, and a brutal fire surrounds the village. Roads are cut off, networks go down, and fear spreads.

The rest of the Sahmoudi family—Safia (39), Nassima (16), and Yunes (10)—search for answers while facing the growing tension and prejudice of a community that once made them feel welcome, but now needs someone to blame.
