彩色爱尔兰革命史 Revolution in Colour

The story of Ireland’s struggle for independence during the early decades of the 20th Century is brought vividly to life, with photographs and footage from the period shown not in black-and-white but in colour. Written by distinguished historian Professor Eunan O’Halpin, the first part of this two-part documentary examines the years leading up to the British general election of 1918. The gradual radicalisation of Nationalists and Unionists saw the island’s political landscape forever transformed. The old political order would be gradually overturned and its people divided, with devastating consequences. Part 1 of 2.
