"In Concert" Joni Mitchell

World-renowned and respected, Joni Mitchell, heiress of the "folk" revival and pop star of the 60s and 70s, continues to inspire new generations of lyricists and singers with her rich lyrics and unique guitar style. From Jimi Hendrix to Prince or Taylor Swift, she influenced everyone who heard her music. Throughout a career spanning more than 40 years, she has never given in to fashion, which makes her success both unique and mysterious.

What makes this woman, nicknamed the "Queen of Folk", such a contemporary icon? What has shaped her since 1954, when she was spotted in a small town in Canada? How does she stand out from the other rock singers of her time?

Through archives (clips, concerts, interviews with Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, James Taylor...), this film portrays one of the most daring trajectories in popular and folk music. The story of an artist, a musical movement and an entire era.
